Breaking down can be stressful and sometimes dangerous, depending on where you’ve broken down. Our main aim is to help keep you safe and get you back on the road, which is why we have a dedicated team over at One Call Rescue who are ready to assist you in the event of a breakdown.
As a One Call Insurance customer, there’s a simple process you should follow when reporting a breakdown. Whether you drive a car, van or a motorbike – it’s the same process.
Here’s everything you need to know:
You should report your breakdown as quickly as possible so that we can come and recover you. To do this, please visit our customer portal.
When you log into your account, you’ll see an option to ’report a breakdown’. Here, you’ll be asked to confirm if you are in a safe location and provide your exact location to help us find you.
It’s important that you have your location services enabled in your device settings, so that we can provide a rescue service as soon as possible.
To help us rescue you, we need to know the underlying issue or cause of you breaking down. As such, you will be asked to provide us with a short summary.
We understand that you may not always know this, but please try to provide as much accurate information as possible.
Once we have this information, we will ask you to provide your preferred recovery destination. This is the location you would like your vehicle to be taken to.
Finally, we will need you to confirm your contact number, so we can keep you updated throughout the process.
The benefits of our customer portal
The great thing about our customer portal is that we’re able to detect your exact location, meaning it’s the fastest and easiest way to log your breakdown.
It uses a simple pinpoint location finder, so you don’t need to worry about finding the exact street or postcode of the location in which you’ve broken down.
You’ll receive an immediate text from us, confirming that we’re on our way to help
Finally, our customer portal is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. So, whether you’ve broken down in the middle of the day or night – we will still be able to register your report and get help out to you straight away.
As always, your safety is our number one priority and we will do all that we can to rescue you as quickly as possible. With over 250 active recovery agents available across the whole of the UK, you know you’re in safe hands.
Please try to remain calm, follow the above procedure and we’ll have you safe and sound in next to no time.
